PRAY - CARE - SHARE

OUR CALL TO ACTION 

Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all you mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:27

As followers of Jesus, we will love our neighbors on our street, where we work and at our schools.  We will:

  • Pray for them
  • Care for them
  • Share the Good News as the Lord leads

PRAYER

  • List addresses on your street and names as you gather them, and pray for your neighbors by name
  • Ask God to show you which friends He wants you to share with and make a list
  • Pray for those on your list, and watch for opportunities to care and share with them
  • Ask God to open up doors
  • Above all, let God guide you in all you say and do

CARE

  • If you neighbors have a need:
    • Can YOU help them? Loan a tool, mow a lawn, fix a fence, etc.
    • Perhaps someone in YOUR CHURCH can help them?
    • You can refer your neighbors to Love INC at 224-9559 (www.esali.org) to see if help can be found for them.
    • You can have them call '211' United Way 24/7 referral service.
  • Emphasize the relational value of demonstrating God's love. Showing personal loving concern for your neighbor is the most important element

SHARE

  • Give them a tract: 'Steps to Peace with God' by Billy Graham or 'How to Know God Personally' by Campus Crusade for Christ
  • Give them a gospel presentation
  • Give them a Bible or a portion of it (New Testament or Gospel of John)
  • Could you lead someone to Christ?
