Pastor Cyndi Franklin
Live, Laugh & Love
As Associate Pastor at Cornerstone Church in downtown Fresno, Cyndi Franklin serves a diverse congregation where “luxury cars and shopping carts share space in the parking lot.” Originally from Oklahoma, she and her husband, Pastor Jim Franklin (also a secular radio talk-show host) have led the church for 30 years. Married for 40 years, they have three children – Jessica, Nathan, and James – along with a son-in-law and three grandchildren: Ethan, Vera, and Dirk.
Ordained with the Assemblies of God, Cyndi leads Worship, Women’s Ministry, and Marriage Ministry.
Her work includes organizing conferences and retreats, conducting marriage seminars, hosting the “LIVE LAUGH & LOVE” Facebook devotional, preaching, and leading worship. A recording artist with six albums (most recent: “For God’s Sake”), she travels for women’s conferences throughout the year.
The Franklins’ shared mission is to “awaken the sleeping Giant”—the Church—and promote positive change through conservative values. More information is available at cornerstonefresno.com.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Each quarter we highlight a ministry or need in our community to support through “9 to 5 for Christ”.
This quarter we will would like to supply a bible study for a small group of ladies at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla State Prison.
For several years we sent bible studies into the Chowchilla Prison. This is a testimony from one of our friends that we visited during those years.
“I am excited to write about how the Bible Studies, with the DVDs, were life-changing. I personally got to see the girls get transformed and redeemed by the Bible study, even hardcore criminals’ expressions changed. Jesus gave them new hearts. I was a facilitator for five years so I saw hundreds of women changed. I can still see their faces!!!” By Suzy Mellen.
We have not been able to get new materials into the prison due to covid lockdowns but now we have an opportunity to transform lives through God’s Word once again. Will you consider partnering with us in purchasing a T.V. (with video player) the videos for the Bible Study and 20 workbooks.
“Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison…as if you yourselves were suffering” Heb.13:3
